The Official term for “Drones” is Remotely Piloted Aircraft or RPAs, they can be used in so many applications, including General aerial photography, property inspections, topographical mapping, equipment inspection and so on.
LKLM Enterprises is a holder of a ReOC (Remote Operators Certificate) – this is a special endorsement by CASA allowing our company to provide RPA operations and hire RPA operators who hold an RePL (Remote Pilots Licence)
Our Chief pilot Leigh Green is the holder of an RePL and AROC (Aviation Radio Operators Certificate.) as well as Certificate 3 in Aviation – these are key to ensuring we provide quality and safe RPA operations, and also allow us to perform operations which might otherwise be restricted.
Such as:
- During organised events
- Closer than 30m to people not involved in RPA operations
- Higher than 400ft
- Closer than 3.3nm from an aerodrome
- Within Built-up areas
- At Night
- One Drone at a Time
- Flying within Visual Line of Sight
- Flying for Money or Reward.
Keeping in mind with all of these restrictions – If your RPA operation requires any of these – we do need to make submissions to CASA for approval – which could take some time, and there are also costs involved Even if the approval is Not given. You will be informed of the Upfront costs ath the time of your initial consultation for service.
